Employee Health and Safety Representatives

The one-day course is for new, potential or recently elected employee representatives from all industry sectors and different types of organisations. This course is also suitable for existing representatives that would like to attend a refresher and/or expand upon their role and update their knowledge.

This course is for employees in any organisation who volunteer or are nominated into the role of employee health and safety representative. 

This course provides the framework and insight into the role and to provides an overview of the employers' responsibility and how to support and represent colleagues in order to promote a positive and safe workplace. 

This one-day classroom course covers the following topics:   

  

 

  • The Role of the Safety Representative and Representatives of Employee Safety. 
  • UK Legislation – Overview
  • Principles of Prevention (including Risk Assessment)
  • Health & Safety in the Workplace
  • Incident Investigation 
  • The functions and Responsibilities of Safety Committees 
  • Sources of Health and Safety Information

This is a non-regulated course, and the certificate is issued upon full attendance.
